Snubco Well Services - Grande Prairie, Alberta. Phone: (780) 538-2515Nitrogen Services Snubco’s Well Service Division is able to provide Nitrogen services for a wide range of applications with our state of the art equipment. Nitrogen is an inert gas that is non-combustible, non-flammable and non-corrosive. Due to its properties, it can be utilized in plant facilities and pipeline work where intrinsically safe operations are essential. Additional applications involving Nitrogen work include, pressure testing, purging lines, well bore fluid removal, sand clean out on wells, circulation of fluid for lifting cuttings, fill or debris.
Coil tubing services Coiled tubing services have become widely accepted for completion and workover operations. The ability to perform remedial work on a live well (well intervention) is still the backbone of the coil tubing industry. However the use of coil tubing for drilling and completion operations is becoming a more viable service option. The biggest advantage of coil tubing versus traditional drilling is the ability for continuous circulation of the wellbore without having to stop circulating to make a jointed connection. Safety is greatly enhanced during coil tubing operations due to the decrease in the number of crew members that are required to be near the wellhead area, during drilling or servicing operations. Various coil tubing sizes are available, from 31.8mm to 88.9mm. Coil tubing may also be used as a conduit to circulate and place fluids into the wellbore at a specific depth. It is also used in the same capacity in pipelines to remove blockages. The advantage of using coiled tubing over jointed pipe is the speed at which pipe can be run into and out of the well. Operations can be performed in underbalanced or balanced states while the well is flowing back to surface.
