 New Payroll & Benefits Administrator - May 8, 2006

sherriThe management of Snubco would like to extend a hearty welcome to our new staff addition, Sherri Cooper.

Sherri has joined our team in the role of Payroll and Benefits Administrator. She will be working out of our Nisku facility, and will be responsible for all payroll and benefit aspects of the companies.

Sherri brings years of experience in this role to Snubco, and her education and background have made her an excellent candidate for keeping pace with our rapid expansion and continuous growth.

Welcome our new HS&E Coordinator - January 2006

andreaThe management of Snubco would like to extend a hearty welcome to our newest staff addition, Andrea Sazwan.

Andrea has joined our team in the role of Health, Safety, and Environmental Coordinator. Her main role will be the auditing and upgrading our Core Procedures manual. Additionally, she will be responsible for liaison and compliance to all relevant OH&S mandates. 

Andrea brings years of experience in this role to Snubco, and her background has made her an excellent candidate for ensuring that the company is leading the way in all aspects of HS&E. 

Andrea will be reporting to Al Macdonald, HS&E Manager.  

Assistant Operations Manager - September 01, 2005

billSnubco Group is pleased to announce the hiring of Bill McRae as Assistant Operations Manager for our Domestic operations. Bill brings over 22 years snubbing experience to his role at Snubco. Bill will dealing with day to day operations, on call duties, setting up jobs, crew and equipment dispatching.

Bill will also play vital roles in the development of Snubco’s core policies and procedures manual, operations manual and updated website.

Snubco welcomes Bill and his family and we look forward to many years of a successful relationship.

Chief Financial Officer - July 2005

johnJohn joined Snubco as its Chief Financial Officer in July of 2005.  John has been actively practicing as lawyer in the area of Corporate and Commercial Law, both domestically and internationally, for the last 24 years.  This has included assisting Canadian clients in structuring their business enterprises within and outside Canada. Since he completed his MBA in 1997 he has also consulted with various businesses in relation securing necessary financing for their growth plans.  He joins the company to allow Snubco to access his expertise in the area of finance and structuring business operations and enterprises, with the added benefit of it being able to access his legal knowledge for our companies' ongoing needs. As Chief Financial Officer, he oversees all financial aspects of our various business units and works with our Administrative personnel from our Nisku facility.

EPC Celebrates One Year Of Operations - July 19, 2005

epcThe management of Snubco International Ltd. would like to congratulate the staff of our joint venture company Eastern Pressure Control on achieving one year of operations for our customers in Australia.

During its inaugural year the snubbing unit has completed multiple jobs ranging in surface pressures from 100 (700 Kpa) to 3000 Psi (21,000 Kpa). Throughout all of this work, the crews have performed their duties with enthusiasm, dedication, and a level of professionalism that is exemplary.

Over the last year of operations, the company has a record of zero incidents, zero recordable medical aids, and no lost time accidents. Team work and attention to detail has laid the foundation for this milestone, and all of the people involved with the company should be congratulated for such a fine performance.

We would also like to thank our valued customers for their support, patience and understanding during the set-up phase of the company, and we hope that the continuing utilization of rig assist technology will be the greatest reward for all of the staff at EPC.

As other opportunities arise, EPC will continue to grow and offer the same kind of dedication and professionalism with the ultimate goal of being the best service company possible for all of our customers old and new.

 New Financial Controller - May 1/05

We are pleased to announce that Joyce Mah has joined our team in the position of Financial Controller. With our rapid expansion and continuous growth, both Snubco Domestic and Snubco International have been in need of someone who possess the skill set that Joyce brings to the table.

Joyce has been a certified CMA since 1990, and her expertise in managing businesses such as ours will be a welcome addition. Joyce will be working out of our Nisku facility, and will be responsible for all financial aspects of the day to day running of the companies.

We want to extend a welcome to her and her family to the group, and we look forward to continuing to grow the companies.  Here's a picture of Joyce laughing at management's expenses!

Snubco International is pleased to have been awarded another contract to supply rig assist technology to a Romanian customer. The unit is currently under construction at our Nisku facility, and we look forward to introducing yet another area of the world to the benefits of Snubco’s leading edge designs.

We look forward to a long relationship with this customer, and all of our people are excited about having the opportunity to teach our systems to yet another area of the world.

Once operations are underway in Romania, we will have equipment working on four continents, and for a small specialized company such as ours, it is a testament to the quality and dedication of all of our staff in bringing this to fruition. Thanks to everyone involved, including our loyal customers.

Senior Snubbing Supervisor - February 14, 2005

danSnubco International is pleased to have secured the services of Dan Moynagh in the role of Snubbing Supervisor. Dan will be working in Australia along side our other senior supervisor Mark McLoughlin for the next year looking after the EPC snubbing unit.

Dan’s background is a perfect fit for this project. His 18 years experience both in the field and in administration is a great benefit to both our junior staff at EPC as well as our customers in the region.

All of us want to extend a hearty welcome to Dan and his family. We look forward to having a long and successful relationship.

A New Milestone - August 17, 2004

Snubco Domestic has reached a new milestone in our overall utilization. After eight years of operations, and growing from a small single unit company, we have just completed our 6000th job in Canada.

We would like to say a heart felt thanks to all of the customers that have given us their support and loyalty over the years. This milestone is also a result of thousands of man hours that our dedicated crews have put forward through thick and thin. The management of both Snubco Domestic and Snubco International recognize that without the hard effort put forward by all of our staff this plateau would not have been possible to reach. We also want to say thanks to the families of our people for understanding the amount of dedication and time that the men and women working have had to commit away from their homes to accomplish this feat.

We look forward to continuing to provide the best service and equipment to all of our customers, and as the years roll by, all of our people will benefit from the continuing growth of our companies.

Here’s to the next 5000!!!!


Snubco International Press Release - August 3/04

               Power Pack End View                           Overall of Unit and Crew Truck

Snubco International is pleased to announce the completion of the first unit for our joint venture company in Australia. The new company “Eastern Pressure Control PTY” (EPC) is now up and running in the Cooper Basin in Australia.

Unit RASU-1 was completed in Toowoomba, Queensland and the finished piece of equipment has been moved into the Moomba area to begin its campaign of Rig Assist Snubbing for Santos. The first well is underway, and the unit has been performing flawlessly in conjunction with Eastern Well Service Rig # 5.

Snubco International would like to extend a huge thanks to the crews of Eastern Well Service, EPC and Snubco for their hard work and diligence while completing the package. The power pack and transport trailer were built in Eastern Energy’s facility, and there were many long hours of work in order to meet the deadline for dispatching the equipment. All of us involved would like to also say thanks to the numerous suppliers and tradesmen that assisted in completing the unit. Eastern Pressure Control Pty Ltd. Joint Venture - June 8, 2004

Snubco International is pleased to announce the completion of a new joint venture with Eastern Well Service of Australia.

Our two companies have joined forces in order to bring rig assist snubbing and other pressure control technologies to the Austral-Asia area of the world.

The new company is called Eastern Pressure Control Pty Ltd, and will be providing pressure control solutions to customers operating in Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea.

Snubco would like to thank all of the people involved up to this point that have been working hard to bring this new company to life. We look forward to a long and prosperous relationship.

We will be sure to keep everyone up to date as the company develops and more and more new technology becomes available to operators within the above mentioned regions.


Snubco Training and Test Well - June 7, 2004

Snubco has completed drilling an outdoor test well facility adjacent to our Operations Center in Nisku for practical training and testing in a controlled environment. The well has a total depth of 150 meters (380’) and is rated to 35 Mpa (5000 Psi) surface pressures.

This test well will allow us to provide real snubbing situations for both training purposes and testing newly manufactured equipment for both Snubco Domestic and Snubco International.

The next module of this project will be the installation of an outdoor overhead crane system for picking up and installing equipment onto the well. We expect to have this completed by the end of July 2004.

Once all the planned systems are in place, we will have air, water, communication and electrical power routed to the facility.

This will give us a full range of options for testing, training and research & development of our constantly expanding fleet and technologies.


Snubco Nisku Operations Center - June 7, 2004

Snubco is pleased to have been busy modifying and upgrading our new Nisku Operations Center. We have now completed moving all of our operations inventory and expendable items into the new facility. Donald Gould, Operations Manager for Snubco Domestic, and Allan Macdonald, Snubco’s HSE Manager have moved their offices into the new facility in order to be close to the day to day field operations.

All of our IT and communication systems have been integrated into the existing infrastructure, tying the manufacturing and operations center into one complete system.

The upgrades to the new building are ongoing, with a focus on installing a state of the art training facility. This will include both class rooms and computer systems to assist with the in house training systems that Snubco is currently using.

The expansion has been a real boost to the entire company, and we are all happy about having the additional space to utilize.

Snubco Shop Expansion - April 14, 2004

shopSnubco is pleased to announce that we are in the final stages of purchasing another 11,000 square foot shop facility in Nisku. The property is directly adjacent to our existing facility.

We are all looking forward to having some more space as with the phenomenal growth we have experienced in the last couple of years, the company is in need of the additional area.

The new shop will provide an operations base for the Nisku fleet, while our old facility will be dedicated to construction and maintenance for both the International and Domestic divisions. Drop by and have a visit!


Training in China - April 13, 2004

Snubco International is pleased to announce the beginning of training on the two S-9 snubbing units that were sold last year to a Chinese customer.

Cal Vallet has recently returned from China after some preliminary training and shipment inspection. The Chinese customer is really keen to put this new technology to work in their area of operations. The training was focused on some basic work procedures and equipment maintenance.

Cal would like to thank all of the people that participated in the sessions, and he promises that in the future, he will work on trying to speak slower!!

Australian Rig Assist Unit Nearing Completion - January 30, 2004

Snubco International is pleased that our Australian rig assist unit is nearing completion at our fabrication facility. We are targeting to ship the unit in the first part of March, with arrival in Australia in April.

We are really excited and proud to be the first snubbing company to be bringing this technology to yet another part of the world.


Self Contained Snubbing Unit In Service - January 30, 2004

We are proud to announce that our new Self Contained snubbing unit “SC-1” has been in service since Dec 10/03. During the last six weeks the unit has performed over 20 jobs for various customers throughout Alberta.

The new unit is working very well, and we are seeing work procedures developing and job efficiency increasing as the crew assigned to the unit gets into the routine of running this new piece of equipment.

Snubco's management would like to thank the crew of “SC-1” for doing an outstanding job of working through the growing pains that are part and parcel of bringing new technology online.

As always at Snubco, the crew's input has been invaluable in the final stages of getting the unit to be as efficient and user friendly as possible. Thanks again guys!

We would also like to extend a huge thanks to our valued customers that have been utilizing the unit. We are really encouraged by the positive feed back that we have received from them, and also the suggestions that we have been given to ensure that this equipment is as safe, versatile, and useful as possible for everyone involved.

Self-contained snubbing offers our customers a safe and economical way of completing or abandoning project wells without the use of a workover rig. Our engineers and manufacturing team have been working hard this year to build the most innovative self contained equipment available in the oilfield.

SNUBCO International welcomes the world

SNUBCO International is well known as a key player in snubbing technologies in the global marketplace. As a result, we have had the opportunity to showcase our technologies to companies from all over the world at our Nisku, Alberta site. Delegations from as far as Australia, Romania, Venezuela, Russia and China have been hosted by SNUBCO to gain a better understanding of snubbing technologies and the applications. The groups were taken to field sites around Alberta where Snubco’s services were in action to give the visitors a close-up view of what we do best - snubbing. It wasn’t all work though. Included in their tour was, of course, a trip to the Rocky Mountains and local attractions.

As a result of our international efforts, contracts have been signed with two Chinese companies and another from Australia for equipment and training.


New drafting and design department to assist with growth

Snubco has expanded our offices to accommodate a new drafting and design department. The department will be using the most advanced AutoDesk system which will assist with developing state of the art drawings for equipment manufacturing and for professional presentations.


Joint Venture with the Aussies

Snubco International has formed a strategic alliance with an Australian company to continue to expand globally and bring snubbing technology to the world. An initial agreement will deliver a new rig assist unit to Australia with plans for expansion in the future.
